Here are some statistics about foster care youth in Texas:

1. As of August 2021, there were approximately 31,000 children in foster care in Texas.
2. The average age of a child in Texas foster care is 9 years old.
3. Approximately 52% of children in Texas foster care are male, and 48% are female.
4. The majority of children in Texas foster care are either Hispanic (42%) or Black (22%). 
5. The average length of stay in Texas foster care is approximately 17 months.
6. In 2020, there were approximately 16,000 children who aged out of foster care in Texas without being reunited with their families or adopted.
7. Children in Texas foster care are more likely to experience developmental delays, emotional and behavioral disorders, and physical health problems than their peers who are not in foster care.
8. Children who experience foster care in Texas have lower high school graduation rates and are less likely to attend college than their peers who are not in foster care. 

These statistics highlight the significant challenges faced by foster care youth in Texas, and the importance of programs like HALO's Stable Moments in providing support, guidance, and care to these vulnerable children.
