Who We Are

Our mission is to help foster and adopted kids and teens gain important life and career skills to make healthy transitions into adulthood.

Our goal is to break the generational cycle of foster care.

Philosophy

At HALO, we believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential. We understand that children in the foster care system have often experienced significant trauma, and we are dedicated to providing them with the resources and support they need to overcome these challenges.

Our philosophy is centered around the belief that every child deserves to have positive relationships with caring adults who can guide them through life's ups and downs. We believe that by providing mentorship and equine-assisted learning, we can help foster and foster adopted youth develop the life skills they need to succeed.

We also believe that building a strong sense of community is essential to our work. We recognize that it takes a village to support children who have experienced trauma, and we are committed to creating a network of support for our program participants and their families.

At HALO, we value transparency, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We believe that by tracking and analyzing our program's progress, we can make data-informed decisions that will allow us to better serve the children and families in our community.

Above all, we believe in the power of hope. We believe that every child has the potential to achieve their dreams, regardless of their past experiences. Our goal is to provide the tools and support necessary for foster and foster adopted youth to believe in themselves and their ability to create a bright future.
